Jannah is unlimited. Duniya is limited. Jannah is the unlimited edition of duniya. People who are good Muslims are those whom Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) likes. They do good deeds and they will go to Jannah. People who do not listen to Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ)’s commands and do bad deeds will have to face consequences.
Jahannum is a place where it will be all fire! The fire will be 70 times more painful than the fire on Earth.
In a hadith we learn:
Abu Huraira (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ) reported: The Prophet ﷺ:
“Your fire, which the son of Adam ignites, is only one of seventy parts from the fire of Hell.” They said, “By Allah, that would be enough, O Messenger of Allah!” The Prophet said, “Verily, it exceeds it by sixty-nine parts, each of which are like its heat.”
[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2843]
Trust me, you don’t want to end up there. Let me tell you what good deeds and bad deeds are.
Good Deeds
- Praying
- Giving money to the poor
- Reciting Qur’an
- Memorizing the Qur’an
- Doing Hajj/ Umrah
- Listening to your mother
Now that we have covered the good deeds, let’s understand the bad deeds.
Bad Deeds
- Drinking and eating haraam
- Not praying
- Not helping the poor
So you should be a good Muslim, do good deeds and aim for Jannah and not the Jahannum.
