First Address:
All praise and thanks be to Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ), I praise Him and I seek His Aid. We seek refuge with Allah from the evil of ourselves and from the wickedness of our deeds. Whomsoever Allah guides, there is none who can misguide him and whomsoever Allah sends astray, there is none who can guide him. Bear witness that there is no lord but Allah. He is Alone; He has no equal and I bear witness that Muhammad ﷺ is His servant. May Allah send mercy on him ﷺ and his family and all his companions and the pious predecessors.
After this:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
[Ali-Imran:102]
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
After His Praise!
The best of speech is the Book of Allah and the best of ways is that of our Prophetﷺ . To invent a thing in religion is the worst of the ways. Every innovation is misguidance and every misguidance leads to the hellfire. He whose heart has been beautified with guidance by Allah and whom He has admitted to the fold of Islam after he had disbelieved will be successful, for he has chosen Allah’s Speech over that of all of mankind. Truly, it is the best of speech and the most eloquent.
O People! Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) has honored you by making you a human being and created you on the religion of Ibrahim (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ). He has given you clothing to protect your bodies and guidance and fear of Him. He has reminded you through your parents of the corruption spread by Shaytan. He has made you aware of Shaytan’s enmity, hatred, hidden agenda and the humiliation caused by following his ways. Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) has identified the goal of Shaytan in wanting to unclothe human beings so that their private parts are exposed and they are brought to shame.
He intends this so that mankind begin to not only follow him but also misguide others to follow suit. Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) says in the Qur’an:
يَا بَنِي آدَمَ قَدْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًا يُوَارِي سَوْآتِكُمْ وَرِيشًا ۖ وَلِبَاسُ التَّقْوَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ, يَا بَنِي آدَمَ قَدْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًا يُوَارِي سَوْآتِكُمْ وَرِيشًا ۖ وَلِبَاسُ التَّقْوَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ, وَإِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَةً قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهَا آبَاءَنَا وَاللَّهُ أَمَرَنَا بِهَا ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ ۖ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ, قُلْ أَمَرَ رَبِّي بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَقِيمُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَادْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ ۚ كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ
O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness – that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember.
And when they commit an immorality, they say, “We found our fathers doing it, and Allah has ordered us to do it.” Say, “Indeed, Allah does not order immorality. Do you say about Allah that which you do not know?”.
Say, [O Muhammad], “My Lord has ordered justice and that you maintain yourselves [in worship of Him] at every place [or time] of prostration, and invoke Him, sincere to Him in religion.” Just as He originated you, you will return [to life][Al-Araf: 26-29]
Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) has guided one group of people and misguided the other. Those who were misguided were the ones who chose Shaytan as their close friend and helper while they assumed they were guided.
Every prophet and his nation is surrounded by Shaytan who snatches his share from them. This Shaytan works in teams spread out all around. Their purpose is to deviate man from Rabb. His bait to derail them is wealth, status or his close friendship through which he completely captures man. Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) says in the Qur’an:
فَكُلًّا أَخَذْنَا بِذَنبِهِ ۖ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ حَاصِبًا وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَخَذَتْهُ الصَّيْحَةُ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ خَسَفْنَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَغْرَقْنَا ۚ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
So each We seized for his sin; and among them were those upon whom We sent a storm of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the blast [from the sky], and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned. And Allah would not have wronged them, but it was they who were wronging themselves.
[Al-Ankabut: 40]
When a man does not have the capacity to sin but still sins, is considered even more blameworthy of his actions. For example, a king who lies whereas he is supposed to be just, an old man who commits adultery where he does not really have the physical strength to to or a man who is poor but yet he is arrogant. Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) will refuse to address any of the three on the Day of Judgement nor will they be reprieved. There will be severe punishment for them. If this is the consequence of such people, we can only imagine what the end of those people will be who commit such sins that are against all natural and moral values. Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) has mentioned the people of Lut (AlaihisSalaam), the people of Sodom and stated the following for them in the Qur’an:
وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُم بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّنَ الْعَالَمِينَ. أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ وَتَقْطَعُونَ السَّبِيلَ وَتَأْتُونَ فِي نَادِيكُمُ الْمُنكَرَ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَن قَالُوا ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ . قَالَ رَبِّ انصُرْنِي عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
And [mention] Lut, when he said to his people, “Indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds.
Indeed, you approach men and obstruct the road and commit in your meetings [every] evil.” And the answer of his people was not but they said, “Bring us the punishment of Allah, if you should be of the truthful.” He said, “My Lord, support me against the corrupting people.
[Al Ankabut 28-30]
After the crime of kufr, Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) has considered the sin committed by the people of Lut (AlaihiSalaam), which is of homosexuality and is the most despicable of sins. We are not aware of any other sin that is more odious, lowly or evil in nature. Additionally, there exist no other people than the nation of Lut (AlaihisSalam) who boldly committed this act. What is also true is that each nation leaves behind its descendants.
Today, we see people who follow suit in their footsteps and not only this, but they are boldly defend all those who follow the same path. They are opposing all those who oppose them even if they are disbelieving like them and of their own faith. Their agenda is nothing but indecency. Purity and a natural way of life is not for them. It has been mentioned by those who were against the wrongdoers from the people of Lut (AlaihisSalam) to throw such evildoers out of the city because upfront these people adopt a “holier than thou” attitude but deep within, they are impure.
Please note, that we do not oppose those who have both masculine as well as feminine characteristics. Such individuals have an equivalent amount of both in them or one trait takes precedence over the other. In such a situation, they will adopt one such trait and live accordingly. What this article is stating is that what is to be opposed are those individuals who choose to be one and leave their original gender. This is by choice and not by genes. This, then becomes an act of evil and huge misguidance. The reason for this is that such a choice diminishes all value of religion and goodness.
Our basic nature as human beings born with a certain ordained gender is violated. If anyone agrees with this concept of homosexuality, considers this as permissible and says that it is approved by Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) and calls this freedom, is the one who openly declares disbelief. This is a transgression in the definitive sense. Such a person needs to repent in front of the ruler/leader of the time. If he/she repents, they are to be set free otherwise, the ruling is for them to be slaughtered. This is derived from the consequence of the wife of Lut (AlaihisSalam) who was punished in the same manner as those people who actually committed this crime. This was because she showed compassion to such people and this was unacceptable in any manner. May Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) protect us from such vice. Aameen.
O Muslims! Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) has given you the gift of awareness. He has blessed us with faculties and made us responsible and accountable for them. He has blessed us with a heart, an organ which He looks at alone. Whatever you watch or hear takes shape inside the heart. Even what we taste or touch becomes a part of our heart. Hence, understand clearly, this is the heart that you shall meet your Lord with. The thoughts in the subconscious that take place, heedless use of faculties and body parts as well as misuse of the tongue needs to be checked. This is what is filling our hearts and our hidden feelings and thoughts. Be weary of those under your care, including your wife and children as you will also be questioned about them. Your consequence is dependent on this.
Be aware that the enemies of purity are fighting a war with you that is both apparent as well as hidden. These include men, women and people of all ages. They are adamant to see you fall; and when you do, they will continue their efforts until you reach to a point of disbelief and become their ally. What will you do?
A person is greatly mistaken if he believes that if he refrains from opposing such people then he will be set free and will be left alone undisturbed. This is because the agenda of the supporters of homosexuality is to push you to such a corner until you accept whether you remain quiet or you speak against them. Their goal is to convince you either ways and make you believe into their way of life. They shall continue to push until you waken in faith, become heedless even for a moment or adopt a soft corner for them. Think of the punishment for the nation of Lut (AlaihisSalam).
وَجَاءَهُ قَوْمُهُ يُهْرَعُونَ إِلَيْهِ وَمِن قَبْلُ كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ۚ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ هَٰؤُلَاءِ بَنَاتِي هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ فِي ضَيْفِي ۖ أَلَيْسَ مِنكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِيدٌ . قَالُوا لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا لَنَا فِي بَنَاتِكَ مِنْ حَقٍّ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيدُ. قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَىٰ رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ. قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَىٰ رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ. فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ مَّنضُودٍ. مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَمَا هِيَ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ بِبَعِيدٍ.
And his people came hastening to him, and before [this] they had been doing evil deeds. He said, “O my people, these are my daughters; they are purer for you. So fear Allah and do not disgrace me concerning my guests. Is there not among you a man of reason?”.
They said, “You have already known that we have not concerning your daughters any claim, and indeed, you know what we want.”.
He said, “If only I had against you some power or could take refuge in a strong support.”
The angels said, “O Lot, indeed we are messengers of your Lord; [therefore], they will never reach you. So set out with your family during a portion of the night and let not any among you look back – except your wife; indeed, she will be struck by that which strikes them. Indeed, their appointment is [for] the morning. Is not the morning near?”.So when Our command came,
We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of layered hard clay, [which were].
Marked from your Lord. And Allah ‘s punishment is not from the wrongdoers [very] far.
[Hud: 78-82]
O Allah! Make the Qur’an a means of blessing for you and me. Make its verses and the commandments in it beneficial and easy for us to follow. I seek forgiveness from Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) for both you and me as He is the Entirely Merciful and Most Forgiving.
Second Address:
All praises are for Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) and may His blessings be for His special servants. He is worthy of worship alone. May His blessings be upon the Prophet ﷺ and his family, companions and all those who follow in their footsteps.
O People who believe! Fear Allah. Know that there is nothing more worthy and honored for Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) than faith (iman). The most nearest of people for Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) are none other than the Messengers and the Prophets. He has ordained for us to praise Him and then follow it by sending durud and blessings upon them. It is stated in the Qur’an:
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ . وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ . وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe.
And peace upon the messengers. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
[As-Saffat 80-82]
The point to add here is that we cannot associate the acts of those who indulge in homosexuality with Lut (AlahisSalam). The origins of the sin go back to those who commit it. They were the people of Sodom who committed the act and are to blame. The prophet of Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) is not responsible for their sins. Not only did the people of Sodom, contaminate their body parts, minds and hurt mankind, but they defied the law of nature and the signs of Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) making a mockery out of it. Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) says in the Qur’an:
وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ آذَانَ الْأَنْعَامِ
and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle,
[Al-Nisa 119]
قُلْ مَنْ حَرَّمَ زِينَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي أَخْرَجَ لِعِبَادِهِ وَالطَّيِّبَاتِ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ ۚ قُلْ هِيَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا خَالِصَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ. قُلْ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّيَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَالْإِثْمَ وَالْبَغْيَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَأَن تُشْرِكُوا بِاللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا وَأَن تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
Say, “Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good [lawful] things of provision?” Say, “They are for those who believe during the worldly life [but] exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection.” Thus do We detail the verses for a people who know.
Say, “My Lord has only forbidden immoralities – what is apparent of them and what is concealed – and sin, and oppression without right, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down authority, and that you say about Allah that which you do not know.”
[Al-Araf 32-33]
O slaves of Allah! Send durud on the best of the people, Muhammad ﷺ, as Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) and His angels send blessings upon him ﷺ.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ۚ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا
Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.
[Al-Ahzab 56]
Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) and His angels send mercy on the Prophet ﷺ. O those who believe! Send blessings and durud upon them also.
O Allah, be pleased with the four Caliphates, the guided leaders, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali and all the companions and the pious predecessors and all those who follow the Straight Path. Ya Kareem. Ya Wahhab.
O Allah! Give honor to the Muslims and elevate them.
O Allah! Grant Islam victory upon others and aid the Muslims. Humiliate the disbelievers and bring them to shame. Destroy the enemies of Islam.
O Allah! Destroy Your enemies and the enemies of Islam.
O Allah! Make this country and all Islamic countries a place of peace and security. Make them a place of generosity, kindness and unity. Bless it with goodness. Make it a safe haven for the Muslims.
O Allah! Guide our leaders and all the leaders of Muslim countries.
O Allah! Provide the servants of the Two Holy Mosques with opportunities to do good deeds which are pleasing to You. Make their descendants pious and steadfast.
O Allah! We only ask you of goodness and nothing more than that. Bless us with goodness (khayr) and protect us from its trials.
O Allah! Grant us a good life in this world and a good end. Save us from the punishment of the Hellfire.
O servants of Allah! Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) commands us to do justice and be fair. He orders us to tie the bond of kinship with our closest family members and to abstain from all types of immodesty and transgression.
